Daily Life

The transition to a full-day schedule requires careful coordination to ensure your child feels secure and prepared for a day of discovery.

Arrival and Departure

Hours: The school day begins at 7:00 a.m. and concludes at 5:30 p.m.
Sign-In/Out: Children must be escorted to the classroom by an authorized adult and signed in/out daily.
Authorized Pick-Up: Only adults listed on the Emergency Information Form may pick up a child; written notice is required for any changes.

Cubbies: Each child is assigned a labeled cubby for personal storage.
Extra Clothing: A labeled, seasonal change of clothing (including socks and underwear) must be kept at school.
Outdoor Gear: We play outside daily; children need appropriate coats, hats, mittens, and snow pants during winter months.
Footwear: Closed-toe shoes are required for safety during active play.
Personal Items: To prevent conflict and loss, personal toys should be left at home unless requested by a teacher.

Provided Snacks: ELI provides nutritious snacks that meet USDA guidelines.
Hydration: Water is available throughout the day; we recommend sending your child with a personal water bottle.
Special Occasions: Birthday treats must be store-bought, nut-free, and include a full ingredient list.
